Blake Watkin set off with the Taekwondo Qld Team on Tuesday to compete at the Chun Cheong Open in South Korea. Over the last few months Blake and his team memebers have been working tirelessly towards this great event which happens every two years.
But what has made this trip a little extra special is that Blake has been recognised for his efforts at home with the Caboolture Sports Club giving Blake a substancial financial incentive ($400.00). This sends a great message to the community that if you work hard businesses like the Caboolture Sports club will get behind our young people and help them make a difference to their own lives but act as a shining example to others to follow.
On behalf of my club members at Daenamoo Taekwondo I would like to say thank you very much Caboolture Sports Club for your support of our student Blake Watkin.Also last year Caboolture Shire council also supported Blake financially this has not gone unnoticed and is always greatly appeciated.
